Hypothesis : Unhappines Triggers The Production of Chemicals...

Hypothesis : Unhappiness Triggers The Production of Degenerative Chemicals In The Brain Which, Over Time, Lead To Brain Damage.

I believe that human potential and human happiness are inextricably linked.

I also believe that the general condition of unhappiness which pervades the human species at the moment produces a physiological reaction which is undeniably harmful to the homeostasis of a human being.

Emotions do elicit chemical production.
I do not doubt that negative emotions stimulate the production of chemicals which adversely affect the physiological system.

The Fundamental Neurosis

This idea can be rendered in this simple statement :

"The suppression of Human Emotions has introduced a fundamental neurosis into the Human Species."

Human beings are Indivisible from Human Emotions.
Forcing Human Beings to disassociate themselves from their Emotions is asking Human Beings not to be Human.
An impossible state to sustain, because we are human.

Dating - "Playing the Right Music to Get Into The Mood"

Mood Music

Turn the lights down low, light some candles and put on some romantic music.

What does the music do?
Elicits powerful feelings of attraction.

Romance

What is the fuel for romance?
Emotions.

Studying - "Play Music To Get Into The Right Frame of Mind"

Frame of Mind

What is getting into the "Right Frame of Mind"?
What does this mean?

Motivated

"Play music to get motivated to study."

Why play music to get motivated to study?
How does playing music get one motivated to study?

Studying

Studying is often an ardurous, onerous task, which one endures, instead of enjoys (God...does our species have to mature beyond the notion that life HAS to be painful).

Music, music which one is fond of, elicits powerful positive EMOTIONS which make the otherwise barely, bearable task of studying, "not so bad".

Forcing oneself to endure what is unpleasant is rendered less painful by the stimulation of beloved melodies and rhythms.

Conclusion

Where does the fuel for studying (or anything) come from?
Emotions.

Driver's License Picture - 2004

Whenever I look at my Driver's License, I am reminded of the day I got it, and how I felt upon seeing the picture of my 24 year old self on my piece of plastic identification.
